To me, the color and quality seems to be no worse than the other rainbow colored ferret/rat products (tunnels, cubes, etc.) out there. It's hard to rate its durability since my rats were disinterested in it enough that they didn't even try to chew its walls the way they do with the nests they love. In fact, compared to other areas of their cage, they weren't very interested in hanging out in it at all. But my biggest complaint is the zippers. They unzip way too easily. Every time a rat climbs up and over the top, they unzip. And this is from petite females who aren't even at their full adult weight yet! After only a few days, the unzipping issue made me deem the tent shape unsafe for my one rat who has head-tilt and I then tried stringing it up as a flat hammock instead for a few more days, but its odd shape when flat made an awkward hammock that they didn't like either, and I haven't put it back in their cage since.

The first thing my ferrit did was unzip the zippers....had I known he would do that I would have bought him a hammock. He didn't like it when I had it up high and even when the floor of the tent is on the ground he won't sit in it. I use it as a place for his hay. |
