Brown Mutt Snuggle Puppy

Comment: My puppy loves his Snuggle Puppy. He sleeps with it at night and plays with it during the day. This has been the best purchase for my puppy. I bought this on the recommendation of a friend and am so glad I did!

Comment: I purchased this for my 8week old yorkie,hoping to comfort her in the night.When I recieved it the batteries were old and corroded...DEAD.Iput in freezer for a while and scrubbed them clean (batteries).Worked for about 1 week,puppy loved it.Now she just sleeps with it,no heartbeat.Hard to find batteries in stores and shipping costs more than batteries.So,my review is nice thought,but purchase extra batteries at same time.

Comment: I read all the reviews on this before I bought it and was unsure if it would work. I went ahead and ordered and I could not have been happier. My lab puppy is in love with this snuggle puppy. After one night with this puppy he was sleeping in his crate with little to no whinning enless of course he had to go potty. My puppy is now 4 months old and is still sleeping with it each night. Throughout the first couple weeks he was sick on and off. I had to wash the puppy and was very hesitant as someone else had said it fell apart after a wash. We have washed it three times. If you wash it in a pillow case on gentle cycle it holds up no problem. I did find a small hole the other days and sewed it up and now it is as good as new!... I highly recommend this product.

Comment: I have mixed feelings about this product. It arrived as scheduled and was pretty much as described. We bought it for my 2 year old Yorkie who recently lost his companion dog. He only "sort of" enjoyed the Snuggle Puppy. However, a few weeks later when we bought a new Yorkie puppy as a companion, the new puppy seemed to really enjoy the Snuggle puppy. So, assuming it works, there are a couple of things they need to fix. The heartbeat unit is very large for what it does and that may have something to do with why the button type batteries need replacing so often. I expected the heartbeat unit to be half the size it is. This large size heart unit leaves less room for the "rice bag" you heat in the microwave to provide the warmth. This leaves you more reliant on the disposable heat packets. If their intent was to make extra money selling you packets and batteries...it's ingenious, though I can buy those items much cheaper elsewhere than from them. On the other hand, better battery life from a smaller unit, giving the rice warmer packet more room, would make the product so much better.

Comment: It may be useful for new born puppies but i bought it for my 8 week old vizsla that was coming to us(a new home). The first day i used it she tore it up. Riping the velcro off and getting inside and ripping the stuffing out. The concept was awesome but as stated before must be for one to two week old pups or tiny breeds.
