I bought three of these SNUGGLE HUTs for our CAPTAIN JACK, our favorite SUN CONURE. My wife and I just adore this beautiful and colorful Captain Jack. Two days ago when we returned home, we found our Captain Jack hanging by the neck with one lousy thread that was from the Snuggle Hut. We are aware of the advise, that it has to be inspected for torn or damaged areas and replaced when it is worn, picked apart. The reason I bought three of these. Captain Jack would have been with us for a year in June of this year and could have been two years old this coming November. My wife and I were so devastated by this accident. Our grandchildren visited with us last night and upon learning of Captain Jack's accident, they all cried. So, please be extremely careful with this Snuggle Hut if you decide to get one for you pet bird. I might add, Captain Jack loved this Hut. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Prevue Pet Products Snuggle Hut Medium Assorted Colors 10in (Misc.) The quality inside the snuggle hut is satisfactory, but, I can't say the same for the outside. The black part that allows you to fasten it to the cage is, in my opinion, not a good enough quality for birds. My parrot had chewed completely through the black "ties" that hold the fasteners in place. So, now he has no sleep hut to sleep in. In the past I've bought huts that have metal fasteners. I guess that's what I need for my parrot. I won't be purchasing this product again. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Absolute Glassworks "Bob" (Baltimore Maryland) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Prevue Pet Products Snuggle Hut Medium Assorted Colors 10in (Misc.) At first my bird wouldn't have anything to do with this hut. (Typical) The next day I found it on the bottom of the cage with the cloth straps ripped from the hut body. In my opinion not a good design or very well made. We have used a different brand huts for our other birds and they seem to be better quality. To be fair those birds are smaller, (quaker and conure) but I wasn't expecting something made for "large birds" to be destroyed by an african grey timneh in 24 hours. |
