Snoozer Cozy Cave, Small, Red

This size dog bed was exactly what I had wanted for my dog. I had bought the large cozy cave dog bed sight unseen, of course, and although my dogs love it too, I had wanted a smaller one for one of my dogs to be more covered and secure feeling. Very good! My dog is about 14 pounds and a rescue who is still unsure sometimes and she uses this bed, it seems, when she starts to feel nervous about something. But the big boy, (my other dog, 25 pounds) also uses it so I can't tell who likes it best yet. I haven't washed this one but the larger one washes and dries fine. Just remove the stuffing, wash, dry and put it back together. No problems! The stuffing is a bit too much but owning the larger one, I knew that it would settle in and wear down a bit. This bed is a good alternative to the flat beds and I know my dogs love these kind of cave beds.

My 2 dachshunds climbed into their Cozy Caves immediately. I got 2 Cozy Caves in July, 2010 to discourage them from always jumping onto the sofa and beds. I already had to treat the mini one for a pinched nerve in her back, so jumping has to be discouraged. This bed has worked...both prefer them to the sofa & people beds. My standard dachshund (20#) has the medium size, and the mini (11#) has the small. Sometimes both doxies are snuggled together in the medium bed. It's plenty big for both. The construction is superb. Both the outer cover and the inner stuffing cover have a substantial zipper each. I love the opening with the spline, and they like the back cover folding down on them. That keeps them warm. I hesitated ordering because of the price, but it's the best product I've ever seen! I would recommend the Cozy Cave wholeheartedly. I love them...both girls love them. It arrives big and overstuffed, but the dogs had it squashed down in short order. They loved it. One thing to note, which is quite nice- the rim edge of the top cover top has some sort of plastic or metal rod, that keeps the top of the "cave" open. We own a different brand of "tee-pee," and the dogs must burrow and dig to get into the bed itself. The top falls down around the bed like a blanket or such. This one does not, which they seem to like. It is different. If you spoil your dogs, this is a nifty item.
