It's a great size for her (she is 22 lbs) and she snuggles right in. She prefers it to the couch (which was part of the goal). It took a couple days for it to flatten out, which made sleeping a little comical...she looked like she was in a listing boat:) It has been easy to clean. This is a great dog bed and I've since bought another for her.Update: A year later and this bed is clearly number one with both of our dogs. We have several of the small size and one of the medium sized beds (fits in the kennel better), which both dogs fit into (22 lb beagle & 18 lbs terrier mix). They pick these beds over the ones I've purchased at Costco everytime. The canvas fabric is great - it's sturdy and holds up well, but is still comfortable and when combined with the fleece lining makes a cozy place for the dogs to curl up. They have held up and worn very well.
