The bed came and was exactly how described. It washes well but if you have a dog that loves its bed this will wear down fast and not be as comfy since it flattens to the floor.

February 20, 2011 update: I finally washed the pillow, some months back, and it was fine, per washing instructions. What I did then was put this entire cushion into an old standard size pillow sham; this size cushion fits perfectly. Now Mat really likes the cushion.

I bought this pet bed for my cat, Matt, who is fairly long and weighs 17 pounds. I purchased it in July for $9.22, including super saver shipping, which is about all that it is worth; it is selling for more than double that now, which I personally think is too much to pay. Mine is the 23 x 16 size, which is perfect for my cat. It was also purchased for a specific purpose. Matt was sleeping under a chair in the office, every morning, and over time, I was concerned that he would wear out, or otherwise damage, the carpet there, which is why I wanted this bed to put under the chair. I could not ask for a better bed for my two small dogs for their car seats. The price was incredible and the quality outstanding.
