This review is from: Pet Gear Soft Step III Pet Stairs, 3-step/for cats and dogs up to 150-pounds, Oatmeal (Misc.) After I put the steps together, I discovered that there is no way to make the cover fit properly. And I tried hard! Several inches of unsightly plastic show at the bottom because it does not come all the way down. The cover is also loose on the form so that when the dog tries to use the steps the cover slips. My dog is afraid of the slipping cover and will not use at all. I am sending it back and will buy another set of steps from Amazon. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Pet Gear Soft Step III Pet Stairs, 3-step/for cats and dogs up to 150-pounds, Oatmeal (Misc.) I have two labradors who are now 6 and like to jump onto and off of tall beds in the house. We decided to purchase the Pet Gear Soft Step III Pet Stairs in order to decrease the stress to their joints as they jumped off of the beds. Training them to use the stairs is a bit of a challenge. They still like to jump, but we are working on that. Just as important, we have to get used to the stairs being at the foot of our bed so we don't trip and kill ourselves in the middle of the night. So far, no incidents. Overall, I like to the product quite a bit. Assembly was easy and took a total of about 20 minutes to complete, including putting on the cover. For the price, it is definitely worth it. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By Tool Handy (Boston MA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Pet Gear Soft Step III Pet Stairs, 3-step/for cats and dogs up to 150-pounds, Oatmeal (Misc.) These steps are great for small dogs who climb into the furniture and have a hard time getting down. (I know it's a bad habit, but who can stop these little furballs from jumping everywhere). We got the steps for our Morkie and the bed (I know bad habit) to make it easier for her to get up and down from the bed. She sometimes uses the steps to get down, hopefully she'll use them all the time to prevent damage to her joints. The steps are sturdy, took a little elbow grease to put together, but otherwise good purchase. The oatmeal cover is washable, we haven't had to wash it yet, but it looks like good material that wouldn't change shape after washing. |
