I bought this bed thinking I might have to return it...Our beautiful, large shepherd usually sleeps on beds that are open sided. I took the bed out of the box (nicely packaged, by the way) and laid it out on the floor. He climbed in it and promptly walked out of it. I placed it in the location of his previous bed. Called him over to try again. He climbed in it laid down and got himself comfortable. He seems to love the bed and sometimes uses the raised sides as a pillow.

He has plenty of room. I was concerned about that since he is longer than many shepherds but only weighs 100 pounds. He had an operation 3 days before we received the bed, so I was also concerned about comfort.

No more concerns! He steps in, lays down, snuggles into the plush side and sleeps soundly.

I bought this for the back of my Sienna, and it sits on top of our Weathertech cargo liner. I didn't want the dogs sliding around back there with just the hard liner, and both my Aussies fit on this bed at the same time. I love that you can flip the pillow over for a soft side or a dirt-proof side. However, I wish the pillow fit more snugly, as it is very prone to being smushed around, which defeats the purpose of the two different sides. Maybe some velcro along the edges that would work either way? Guess I could do that part myself. It's sturdy and a great size, though. Good buy.

Cleanable, Comfy, fits perfectly in the back of my Grand Cherokee....what more can I say? This thing rocks, it has gotten totally covered in mud, doggie foot-prints, and you can just throw the inside bed portion in the washing machine and it is as good as new. This is a must have with an active family....Our doggie gets pretty dirty swimming, running, playing in the dirt....But is also quiet the pleasure seeker. This seems to meet her expectations....When many beds have failed. Bought an extra one for my sister and mother both.
