K&H Thermo-Kitty Bed, 16-Inch Diameter, Sage

Comment: My smallest cat LOVES this bed. Very happy I bought it since now I can coerce him away from sleeping on our feet (where we may inadvertently kick him in the night). Now he sleeps in this bed instead.

The first night he slept in it about half the night and then moved somewhere else. I think it was because it was too hot for him -- seeing that its summertime right now.

So last night I unplugged the heater, and voila! He slept in it all night.

I'm sure I'll be plugging it back in once it turns fall, but for now he's thrilled to have a cozy unheated bed.

One of the best parts about the bed is that there is a super-comfy, thick and soft cushion in the bottom of the bed, which my cat seems to love. Also, this bed is taller/deeper than the other beds we have, which seems to be great since it allows him to really cuddle up.

Great bed!!

Comment: I have a Siamese cat, and as most folks know they have very little fur. Due to the higher costs of living, I've had to keep my thermostat turned down through the winter here in Vermont. Poor lil kitty was cold. I bought this bed and she LOVES it. It is duel thermostat so when she isn't in the bed which wasn't often, the main thermostat would shut down leaving a smaller one on just enough to remind kitty to hop in. She even learned that by "kneading" the bottom cushion before jumping in, she would "turn it on faster". She is so smart. Then one day my second cat (alley cat) came along and discovered it. She jumped in and loved it too. Now the Siamese sees this and pathetically grabs the edge of the bed trying to pull it closer to herself and discourage the other cat from staying in it. The look on the Siamese's face was so pathetic, like she lost a friend. I couldn't bear this and rush shipped another bed to myself.
Now they each have their own bed and are so happy. This bed has worked fine all winter! I wish there was one in my size! I recommend this highly as your cat will love you for it.

Comment: I ordered this cat bed as a replacement for one (a different brand) that we'd had for 8 years. This one is much smaller and the heated pad is a separate component whereas in the older one, the heating element was part of the bed itself. Our cat moves around a lot and the heated pad shifts and gets bunched up. Also, in the older bed the outer walls generated heat and these don't. The fact that the cord is exposed on the inside of the bed makes me nervous as well since animals like to chew on things. I'll use it for now but am still looking for the brand that is of higher quality.
Another issue with this purchase is that the shipping dept. at Amazon folded the bed in half to fit it into the box. Once folded, this material pretty much maintains that shape. So our "round" bed is now a sloppy football shape.
Too many issues for the money.

Comment: This was the second heated cat bed I've bought since I have 4 cats and 2 of them are crazy about this bed. They were acting like kids fighting over a toy and once one cat was in the bed, he or she was reluctant to leave the bed for fear of the other cat taking it over. Now that there are 2 beds, there are no more conflicts. I would have preferred that the bed was a little bigger since one of my cats is a Maine Coon and 22 lbs. He kind of hangs out over one side but still loves his bed whenever the weather gets cool.

Comment: I have two cats. One is a little skiddish and has not really approached but the other absolutely loves the bed. He curls up and sleeps for hours. I feel the bed and it does not feel too warm on the floor or on him and it seems to make him very happy. Glad I decided to purchase.
