I bought this for a doghouse where my dog stays during the weekdays while I'm at work in the winter, and even in the coldest weather, I found that my dog had pushed it to the back of the doghouse, where he'd lay against it. It seems to keep him more than warm enough without laying on it. Just to test it, I lay down on it once while watching TV, and found it a bit too warm for my own tastes, almost like a heating pad. So even if my dog pushes it out of the way and won't lay on it in 15 degree cold, it still created enough heat inside his kennel to keep him comfortable, as long as there's also a hanging door of some sort on the doghouse. |
