K&H All Season Oval Snuggly Sleeper, Medium 26 By 20 Inches, Mocha

Even though this bed is intended for a dog I bought it for my two cats. I was hoping this would be big enough for the both of them to use at the same time (16lbs & 18lbs...they're big). However, once it arrived the bed seemed pretty small, so I measured it. It is advertised as 31 x 24, but the actual measurements are closer to 30 x 23, that's from outside wall to outside wall. The actual sleeping area is only 26 x 20, because the outer walls are so thick.

As far as the "All Season" claim...I suppose this would be better for a dog. The winter cushion is as expected, thick and heated (the cats love that). However, the summer cushion is a fabric-covered plastic bladder that has to be filled with water. This would be fine for a dog, but my cat's needle-like claws would pop this thing in a second. The documentation for the bed even warns about keeping your dog's nails trimmed.

Overall, it looks nice and doesn't seem cheap (probably because it wasn't). If...Read more

We live in Florida and I had originally bought the Snuggly Sleeper because of the cool insert, thinking my dog would enjoy having a cool spot to rest in as she moves around from spot to spot quite a lot. If it helps at all, my dog is a Coonhound (60 pounds) and the large size fits her fine.

She would not go near the bed when the cool pad was inserted, no matter how I tried to tempt her with treats. She would step one foot on it, hear the squishy water noise and then run off. However, with the warm pad (turned off), she loves going into it. We haven't turned the warm pad on since it hasn't been cold enough. I did find if I put the cool pad on the couch, she started out putting her head on it like a pillow and eventually would lay across it, but still refuses to get near it if it is in the bed itself.

I still recommend the Snuggly Sleeper. She likes the bed part of it and enjoys the fuffy warm pad as well as the cool as long as it is on the couch. It is easy...Read more

Great all weather bed for my dog. The cooling works well and provides relief on the joints. The heated cushion isn't very firm and the stuffing isn't uniform. The base is nice and the walls firm. My dog likes it alot. Would have given 5 stars if the cushion was more firm and uniform.

Update: I changed it from 4 to 5 stars. Both my dogs love these beds. I had to order a second fro my other dog.. The stuffing feels good to them. I put a stretchy pillow case over the warm bed cushion (because my min pins love to borrow) and they LOVE these warm beds in chilly weather and coolness in hot. They like them when the weather is neutral and no heat or coolness is used -so my girls say 5 paws/stars!
