Summary: Use of Cat bed warmer 2010-03-28
Comment: The K&H 3100 (low power) pet bed warmer was just right for indoor beds for my hypothyroid cat. She can now sleep whenever she wants without our help to keep warm. The warmer is just the right size and power to serve under the cover of any bed or padded shelf we want to use.

Comment: The heated pet bed is everything it was advertised as. My cat loves it! I don't have to turn it back on every hour or so & it isn't too hot for him. I would recomment it to anyone who needs a heated bed for their pet.

Comment: This item was positively awful. It's heat output was so faint that I could only feel it by holding it to my cheek for ten seconds or so. This unit was either defective or this is just a really crappy product. I returned it right away. Seller didn't make any attempt to diagnose the problem or offer to replace what might have been a defective unit, but did accept it as a return.

We have owned three of these bed warmers for over ten years and they were still working as well as when we purchased them. The only reason I purchased two new ones is strictly because of the age. They probably would have been okay for much longer, but since they are electric and if anything should malfunction, our cats could have been injured. This, I feel is unlikely after opening one of the old ones and saw how it was made.

Comment: I bought two of these, one for a box in the garage and the other outside in the cat house (small dog house)
The two strays I'm feeding outside sleep on the warmers and seem to be doing quite well this winter. I still
bring them into the basement when it is below freezing but the rest of the time, the warmers seem to
work great for them. I may buy more for my indoor pets, especially my elderly cat.
