The waterproof backing makes the Bergan Poncho the right choice for people who want to keep their cloth seats dry. Even after playing golf in the heat of a Florida summer, I can arrive back home knowing that the cloth seats in my SUV won't be wet the next time I drive the car. This is far superior to the terry cloth towels I had been using and it always stays in place, thanks to the elastic head rest strap.
